Why post pics on social media?

I want to hear everyone’s reasons for posting selfies of social media...some do it for attention,some do it for Self-confidence, I’m just curious to everyone’s reasons

When I take a good pic of myself that makes me feel good about myself.. I want to share it so others can see I’m feeling good. I also like when it comes up on my memories year(s) later and I can see myself looking good.
