Aggravating parents

So my last day of high school is on Friday and my mom told me after Friday we can look at cars again so I can focus on passing (which I am). Well I asked her if she’d take me on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and her answer is “maybe. I am not going somewhere alone”

I’m annoyed because my moms short but she’s not skinny, and she’s a nurse so she has to hold down really overweight people and on top of that she used to be in the Air Force. I can see that she wants to protect me but I think she’s being over paranoid. The one car I want to look at is in Detroit but it’s one of the best cars I’ve found and she told me she’d take me after classes end. Her now ex boyfriend looked at the last car with us (they still talk) but I feel horrible for asking him to come with us.

She called me paranoid about wanting to get a pistol to keep under my bed when im of age and living on my own or move out with roommates, but won’t take me alone to look at a car. Detroit is a dangerous place yes but there are parts of Detroit that aren’t.
