Purees

So we have been giving LO purees. He seems to really like it. My question is how much am I supposed to be giving him and how many times a day? I plan on asking pediatrician in 2 weeks at his appt but thought I would see what you guys do. We currently have only been giving puree or oatmeal in the evening. I started giving a tablespoon or two but today he had almost the whole plastic container from Gerber. ( stage 1) I stopped because I wasn't sure if it was too much. He seemed like he would have continued to eat it. How much are you guys giving?

I'll add that he always has formula at least 30mins prior. Thanks!
