We've been together for 3 years. Today when I got home I was cleaning and I found the contract for the donation of sperm.. I wasn't snooping I found it on the floor. He keeps saying it's none of my business. In the contract it said he was single. I just found out and they signed the contract in August of 2018, and the baby was born a few weeks ago... 😭

I’d be hurt that he felt he couldn’t tell me because then I’d feel like he thought I’d say he couldn’t do it or something. When it reality it’s his body, and if he wants to donate sperm, that’s his decision to make. So yes I’d be hurt, but not because he donated sperm. Because he kept it from me

I mean, it’s probably “single” as opposed to “married”. On legal documents there’s not usually an “in a relationship” option. 
However, i would be quite pissed knowing my boyfriend (or in my case husband) donated sperm to anyone without speaking to me well before the actual donation. Even if he’s not involved legally or financially or anything, he fathered a child. That’s a big deal and it would be a big violation of my trust to know that happened behind my back.

The fact that he hid this and now is telling you it’s none of your business when it indeed happened during your relationship is so wrong. I think it’s time to be done with him . Why was it a secret from you ?

I would be absolutely devastated. He has a child and a lifelong bond with another woman now. Even if she doesn’t want him in the kids life (I read that she’s in a relationship), he still fathered that child without even telling you. Plus if you both don’t have kids, or so you thought, you probably wanted to be each other’s “first” to bring a baby into this world. 
This would crush me.

I’d be more than pissed. I’d be leaving him. What kind of relationship do you have if he doesn’t talk to you about big decisions like that and then tells you it’s none of your business? I’ll tell you what kind… The kind that isn’t that serious. He obviously thinks of you as just someone he’s dating, and not someone he wants to make a life with. It wouldn’t even bother me at all that he were a sperm donor. It wouldn’t bother me at all that’s his application says single, because technically he’s not married which means he’s single, but the whole keeping you in the dark thing is what I would be super pissed about. I would be reevaluating that relationship.

It's absolutely your business as you're in a relationship with him! This should have been a joint decision, not one he gets to make behind your back! Any children you have with him in the future will have an older half sibling and you definitely should have been told about this so you could decide if that's something you wanted for your future children or not. That's a huge breech of trust on his part and the fact he sees nothing wrong with it is extremely worrying. Personally I think I'd cut my losses and get out now.
