Am I wrong?

My sister’s husband had a car accident in her car today and I told my mom. My sister is upset at me for telling my mom. She asked me what am I doing telling her business. I didn’t mean any harm when I told my mom. Plus we all live together so my mom was going to see it anyway but I honestly don’t know if I was wrong for telling my mom that. It’s a blessing that he didn’t get hurt in the accident though! Was I wrong for telling my mom?

I think that’s silly on her part. You didn’t do anything wrong. She should have earned you not to say anything. But now you know to let her be the one to share ANYTHING.

It’s not your job to say anything. He isn’t ur husband. You don’t know their situation and if they even wanted anyone to know. It doesn’t matter who lives where or what. They are husband and wife. You just a sister in law. Stay out of it.

Your sister is taking it as gossiping. Take it as a lesson learned. For next time just let what someone tell you stay with you. Don’t spread it. No matter to who. But yes thank goodness he is okay car crashes are the scariest..!

I don’t think you’re wrong for telling if you did it with the right intentions. For example you were telling your mom so she could go to the hospital or something. If it was in a gossipy way though I would be upset. For example my sister in law told her mom she saw me in a new car (it was my sisters) and my mother in law started texting my husband just to be nosey and find out if we had bought a new car and how much we had spent and to see if we were finally having a baby. Not the worst thing in the world but it was still irritating. Your sister is also probably stressed about the car so she’s probably just lashing out.
