For those of you who are- How long do u plan to continue for? Any age beyond which u think it’s not necessary/needed and that u can stop?? for example- u think “if he/she doesn’t self wean by ___ age, then I’ll start trying to wean him/her).

I’m hoping to continue as long as she wants. However, I reserve the right to stop if I’m feeling done and can’t deal with it anymore. But I can’t imagine that happening right now. Right now I feel like it’s a great tool to have...nursing can calm tantrums, connect us after being apart, etc. 
We don’t plan to have another kid until she’s 3 or 4 (if we do) so I guess if it got to that point and she was still nursing, I’d want to wean her.

We only nurse before his nap & bedtime but I’m trying to wean him off. My supply is so low, it takes 16+ hours to even be full/engorged now. If I can wean him from the night feeding at least, it will be easier because it’s not 100% of the time before his nap, so it will be much easier to fully wean.

We just stopped at 19 months - I’m pregnant and the pain was just too much. She was only nursing once every few days and now she’s not bothered about it. I still get a little sad that our journey is over, but it was the right time for both of us
