ATTENTION ANYONE WITH WHO HAD TONSILS REMOVED

Okay so I have thyroid problems, and literally every year around Christmas/ New Years I get strep throat, in January I had tonsillitis it got so bad to the point my throat almost closed , went to 2 hospitals was tonsillitis & my own doctor said the same thing . now on the 9th my birthday I felt fine but my little 6 year old cousin came over he was sick and throwing up now I have tonsillitis again but I noticed it early before it got really bad , so I’m not sure if he is why I got sick but I’m literally tired of tonsillitis & strep throat constantly every year , doctor said this will keep happening if I don’t get them removed, my question is do u still get strep or tonsillitis once u got yours removed? Because at this point I’m really gonna just consider getting mine out even though I’m scared lol
