If I ovulate why am I being prescribed Fermara?

Is this going to f up my system?? I don’t like taking drugs...

It’s speeds up the process! You release more than one egg (hopefully) I had 3 large follicles and got pregnant with one on my first round of Femara. I’m older so I didn’t have time to waste. If you are really young you may not care about speeding up the process.

Ask your doctor their reasoning.   It also promotes multiple eggs which increases changes of pregnancy.   If you are seeing an OBGYN they tend to just toss these drugs out and if they don’t work then they refer you.   You can skip them and go straight to a re

It improves the quality of the egg that you release. Even if you ovulate more than one egg, the chances of multiples is very very slim. I released 2 eggs the cycles that I became pregnant and only one baby resulted.

Do you know if you ovulate based on tests? 
I have regular periods but I don't ovulate every month. Prescribed Letrozole/femara and conceived my first after 2 cycles and now 33w with baby 2 after 1 cycle.

Personally when I was going through TTC I refused to take drugs like this because I was ovulating
