Baby Measuring 3 weeks bigger?

Im 35 weeks and baby is measuring 38, I’m scheduled for an ultrasound at 36 weeks. 
What does it mean if your baby is measuring bigger? Am I at a higher risk of having a c-section or an earlier birth. Doctor said i might have to consider C-section. Im so confused.
Has anyone had any experience with their babies measuring larger and still having there baby on time or successfully?

My friend got induced they let her try vaginal first. I delivered a 9lb 8oz baby they were trying to do a csection and I declined.

How did they measure 3 weeks ahead? With an ultrasound and you will have an additional ultrasound? Or did they measure your bump?

My son measured weeks early and I did have him early, but not C-section. Very easy vaginal birth

Yeah my son measured the same 3 weeks early. I went in at 38 weeks for monitoring for BP. Had a c section the same night. It was successful.
