So many cramps

So I am 4 weeks and 4 days, I found out exactly a week ago I was pregnant. I have been having so many cramps it honestly feels like I’m on my period. I got blood work to confirm at 4w2d and my HCG was 146 and progesterone was 16.7 and was told those are good numbers.

Just wanting to know if these period like cramps last the whole pregnancy or if it’s a first trimester thing? Some get really uncomfortable (but that is how my period is too). I haven’t needed medicine yet, but I probably would have taken some. I’m just trying not to take medicine unless it’s absolutely needed.
