Bedtime anxiety
Does anyone else start to feel terrible anxiety around nighttime? My baby has never been a good sleeper, (I had a week around 8 weeks that I got 4 hour stretches, but other than that she is consistently up every 2 hours at most).
I work full time and am in school full time, and my husband tries to help but even if he takes over for the night I have so much anxiety about bedtime that I can’t sleep! Does anyone else start to feel nauseous when bedtime approaches? My baby will lay down wide awake and happily go to sleep and the beginning of the night, but is up All. Night. Long. After about 2 hours of sleep. I try to get back asleep but I end up just laying there awake praying that she’ll stay asleep. Someone who has had kids before, PLEASE tell me this ends. I am having a hard time enjoying motherhood because I am so unbelievably exhausted.
It doesn’t help that my sister in law keeps telling me I must be doing something wrong because her baby has slept 6 hour stretches since birth and has slept 12 hours since 4 months.... I lay and wonder what I am doing wrong 😪 I’m feeling like a pretty crappy mommy that can’t help her baby get the sleep she needs.
