Are you giving purées yet?

If YES, how old is your baby and did your pediatrician approve giving baby food or did you just do it?

Makenzie's ped said baby food would be fine at her 4 month check up. I tried twice a day for a few days but it seemed like she was getting constipated so I knocked it back to 1 serving a day for now.

I started my baby at 12.5 weeks. I just did it on my own . Her head control is good and she was really interested in food. I started with cereal once a day to practice using spoon. Then at 15 weeks we started sweet potato gerber. So far she’s had sweet potatoes, prunes, and started on carrots today. I do half baby food container a day and have her drink 2-3 oz of water a day. She will be 4 months on the 23rd and I will probably start giving her homemade purée twice a day instead of store bought food

Baby will be 5 months on the 31st. She eats a bowl of Gerber banana oatmeal for breakfast after her bottle, then she eats a homemade purée for dinner with her bottle to bed.

She is 4 months Doctor actually told me to start feeding her breakfast lunch and dinner because she’s not gaining much weight

Yes I am, baby is 18 weeks and her pediatrician said it was fine. She’s gotten cereal and a little fruit

My little guy will be 5 mos next week and we started last week. He’s been SOOOO interested in food since 4 months but I waited until his appt last week to get the ok. He LOVES food.

We are 16 weeks and giving bites here and there of food. She managed to get a piece of brisket and just hold it and chew it yesterday

I am,  the pediatrician approved it because he has good head control and was really interested in what we were eating.  We give a puree every 2 or 3 days.  We're taking it pretty slow until baby is 6 months and at that point we'll probably do a relaxed version of BLW.
