Depo Shot Period??

I’m 5 months postpartum and I had my depo shot over a month ago, I missed my period after the shot. But now I was experiencing a little blood here and there when I wiped. It was kinda light and pinkish. Out of no where, I started bleeding a little heavier. I thought my period was going to stop on this form of birth control. I haven’t bleed since I got my IUD out. When I had the depo shot a few years ago my period stopped completely.

Should I ask my doctor? What did the depo shot do to your periods?
