does st. john’s wort permanently effect nexplanon?

i used to take st. john’s wort frequently in february going into march. then i started to drift off of it and i eventually stopped. i’ve been off it for a month or so and i was supposed to get my period two weeks ago but didn’t. i used to get spotting/light periods when i first started nexplanon and occasionally taking st. john’s wort. THEN I FOUND OUT ST. JOHN’s AFFECTS NEXPLANON. do you think nexplanon is working still? does it only affect nexplanon while it’s in your system?
