Did mastitis dry out your supply?

I started taking medicine a few days ago for mastitis and now after nursing and feeling like my baby empties me, he’s still so hungry and taking five ounces of formula. Also, I have a major slacker side. The most I’ve ever been able to pump is half an ounce on the slacker and three to four ounces on the other side.

I had mastitis last week. I have noticed a slight drop, but nothing major. I needed a drop anyway, I was making way too much milk. I’m still making plenty!

I had it early with my daughter and it made a permanent mark in my supply on that side. I was still able to BF her for 9 months but it did make it drop.

I have mastitis right now and I haven’t noticed a drop in my supply at all. Your baby might be weaning off the breast or could be going through a spurt and that’s why he’s taking the formula
