Is putting bassinet in living room a bad idea?

My twins are 3 weeks old and they’ve basically just been sleeping in their bouncers. I need to break this habit. I’ve been sleeping on the couch since it’s so much easier than getting out of bed in my opinion. I’m thinking about putting the bassinet in the living room. Would this make for a bad sleeping habit?

I voted yes but I really wanted to vote yes AND no. My husband and I are firm believers in letting the babies lead us as far as sleep schedule etc. We originally tried to set a schedule and it just made it more chaotic and less natural for all of us. At one point we even had our guest bedroom mattress in our living room floor so that hubby and I could sleep together while getting up with the boys during the night. It worked for our family, and I strongly support every family doing what works best for them. However, the only reason I voted yes was because then when they got too old for the living room it took a bit for us to get them used to their cribs. They are 8 months old now and we started them in their cribs around 6 months. They still have issues with the cribs but I don’t regret the living room phase one bit because we don’t have help, it worked, and it kept us sane to get through that patch. You do what you think works best for you and your family.

There's no good or bad. My twins slept in pack and plays for 6 months. In living room during the day and in bed room during the night. They transitioned to cribs after 6 months but their cribs are in our bedroom right by our bed, one on each side. They sleep fine, they won't jump into our bed. Again, twins are hard, don't stress over these things.
