Cholestasis

I feel like I failed somehow and my body is putting my baby in danger. I mentioned how moderately itchy (especially on my forearms) I was during my doctors appointment this morning. He ordered a cholestasis test to be done at the lab. I had my blood taken out. A few hours later he personally calls me to tell me that my liver enzyme is a bit elevated and that can mean early cholestasis but to get a definitive answer he is going to have me do this bile test and fetal stress test to see how the baby is doing in her environment.

I felt fine throughout my entire pregnancy and to have this come out of nowhere really bothers me to a point where I’m nervous for my baby.
