Anyone else getting nervous??

Don't get me wrong i am SO excited, but all I'm hearing is how hard it is and how I'm never gunna sleep! This is my first child. I love how no one wants to say "you got this" or "your life is about to get better!" it's all so negative 🙄😯😕

Honestly, I LOVE the newborn stage. What’s hard is them growing up, becoming more independent and defiant as you try to teach them appropriate behavior. The pet rock stage is the best. Lol!

Actually you will be fine & you’ll do great..... AND It’s actually not that hard (i have two, 3&1, & one due in July & if you ask me the newborn stage is the easiest phase lol) ... after you have baby, you get into like mom mode & turn into a beast of a woman! Yes you’ll have days where you’re tired but i promise those little hour to three sleep intervals give you enough energy it’s amazing lol. & don’t worry about not knowing what to do, mommy mode kicks in immediately & its like you’ve known this little human all your life & knows EXACTLY what it needs.  I know with your first it’s kind of hard to let people in, but let people help when you want/need if you feel overwhelmed, get out as soon as you can for just “mommy time” (like trips to the grocery, running to target, meeting friends), if you want to breastfeed don’t give up on it, & more importantly just love your baby!!! You will be okay & your life indeed does get greater. You’ll be surprised at yourself mama.

I'm a little nervous just because I know what to expect/what's coming. I have a 3.5yo and I remember what it's like having a newborn and being a new mom. It was rough! There's a reason it's all negative comments you're hearing. While you are strong and you got this, it's also hard! I think I'm more nervous about what it's gonna be like going from 1 kid to 2.

I’m a little nervous to have a toddler and newborn at the same time. But I will tell you that the term “super mom” isn’t made up. You won’t get a lot of sleep, but it also won’t be hard. I remember with my first my switching into “mom mode” right after delivery. It was like I didn’t need as much sleep, all that mattered was my baby girl and I had plenty of energy and strength to take care of her from day one. You got this Mama!! We were made for this, don’t let anyone tell you different!!!

You don’t know anything until you’re really in it! Just take it day by day and surround yourself with supportive people. Even when you’re in the thick of it, make plans once a week at least to meet up with another new mom or friends. It’s so helpful for your sanity! Oh, and a few extra tips: sleep when the baby sleeps and breast is best until it drives you crazy; you feed your baby in the most relaxed way for YOU!

I have always wondered why people say that stupid stuff instead of being constructive. The first few months are often rough for sleep. However, some babies sleep well from the beginning. I would literally ignore all the negative comments like, ‘you’ll never sleep,’ ‘good luck with your relationship,’ ‘You like sex? Good luck with that,’ ‘You’ll never be alone again...’ the list goes on. None of that is true unless you let it be true. The baby will eventually sleep, even if it’s a rough first few months. My partner is amazing, and he helps me through all the rough parts of early parenthood. Our sex life is better than its ever been, and it’s okay that it will change for a while after our second baby comes. We carve out time to ourselves (important even if you’re single). I am shocked by how many of those comments come from people who are parents, and if they are, I typically ask why they had kids if it was so miserable 🤷‍♀️ Life does change when you become a parent, but most of the time, the good far outweighs the bad.

Well I’m in complete denial and that seems to be working for me! Lol!! I know what you mean though. I just figure whatever happens I’ll handle it. Hubby is on board and ready to be exhausted along with me.
