Bottle feeding at 3 weeks?
I pump at night sometimes because i still feel quite full after nursing baby both sides every 1.5 hourly.. on week 2 i was too exhausted to pump and i ended up with fever and chills, plugged ducts so i had to pump. Now when i pump i get around 70-100 (sometimes 120) ml per session.. my question is how do i feed baby all this extra expressed milk? 😳 My baby's been exclusively breastfed since day 1 and i bfeed him on demand, some days that i hand express i fed him with a syringe cos i dont knw how to do the cup feeding. but now that the amount is getting more baby tend to spill out the milk and it feels like im giving him a hard time giving expressed milk with syringe, he usually takes around 30-50ml at a time.. Is it ok to give him 1-2 bottles a day or its too early and i should wait around 6 weeks? I bought the dr browns preemie flow bottles, thinking that the slow flow would help with pace feeding. thanks fr the help! 🤗
