Does your (1-5 month old) baby cry when you put down for a nap?

Trying to reassure myself that it’s okay when he cries (as I’m standing there reassuring him! I also pick him up to soothe when he gets too upset) when he goes down for a nap. I’m starting to put him in his bassinet for naps so the crying feels awful, even though he would cry if I was rocking him to sleep too lol

Comment to update: I don’t believe in letting babies cry it out, at any age, that’s NOT what I’m doing. Also, my baby is 3.5 months old. When he was a newborn I held him for all of his naps because he wasn’t ready to sleep alone.

I think babies cry when being put down for a nap when they are constantly being held . Idk my youngest is 9 , currently 37wk prego.

No, I rocked my baby to sleep for every nap and for bedtime. Daycare still rocks them every nap time and they are 3. I still rock them for nap time and every night until they fall asleep. 
I don’t believe in crying it out at all.

My 4 month old just goes down for a nap whenever she is tired, theres never really a set time i try and put her down for a nap. Its been working for us really well, i am lucky though since she grew out of her fighting sleep faze a couple months back, because this was not possible when she was doing that lol

As long as my baby isn't in pain, hungry or wet I let him cry it out...After day 2 he goes to bed without any probs...

Mine would cry for well over 10 minutes if i let him but i cave and have to pick him up and rock or nurse him to sleep

I voted no, but I literally couldn’t put my baby down to nap between 4-5 months, but now at 6 months he will go in his cot in a sleeping bag and go straight to sleep with lullabies (sometimes I have to replace his dummy several times).
