Peak before gender reveal?????

Question

Ok so long story short I have two boys I love them dearly but my heart yearns for a baby girl😩😩 everyone and their mother has been telling me they think or “hope” it’s a girl. I know I will be happy with either gender it’s just going to take some time if it’s a boy being that this might be my last baby. We’re having a gender reveal and I just don’t want to have a disappointed ugly crying face if it happens to be a boy. I’d rather prepare my self before hand and take the time I need to get myself excited. I know the priority is a healthy happy baby. Any stories or opinions are appreciated. This might not seem like a big deal but it is to me. I want the raw reaction for the reveal but again if it’s a boy I don’t want to embarrass myself infront of everyone. Would I regret it more for peaking or for not is my real question ??

This is the reason I hate gender reveals to be honest... I think you should be able to process and not have it on record for your kid to see one day if you are blatantly disappointed temporarily. If you’re a good actor... I’d say peek lol

My husband and I knew the gender before we revealed it to the family. That way, we had our little secret before celebrating with a large group. If you wanted, you could have/record a small one with your husband (in case you get a reaction different than planned) then a larger one with the rest of your family?

I’m so glad that I’m not the only one. This is my first and hopefully only and I want a baby girl as well. If I have a boy I don’t want to be disappointed at the gender reveal in front of everyone. I’m in the same boat and when I read this post to my partner he said “okay. You talked me into it. You can peak!” But I still don’t know if I want to. I don’t want to ruin it and me know but not my partner. Decisions decisions😂🙄

I would say DONT peek. Even if you have a disappointed reaction, it happens literally all the time. People won’t look at you crazy and so what if they do. I did a gender reveal for my daughter last year and I was soo happy but others were disappointed clearly. No one felt any way about it. It was all fun and fine.  Then if it is a girl, you ruin sharing that authentic excitement.

We did for that reason and we are having a boy. I’m so glad I didn’t do that in front of everyone. You could always have your SO find out first. 
Our plan was my husband finds out first and tells me. If it was a girl he was going to go get a little onesie and surprise me when I got home (he told me after I found out) to video my reaction.

Honestly, I totally get it...I was going to wait until the birth, but I don’t want to have that “moment of disappointment” if it’s a boy (I’ve always thought I would have a girl first) and don’t want to ruin the moment lol so will be excited either way but will need a minute to process it all ❤️ I’d say look at it or with your husband so you guys are prepared! I’m not doing a gender reveal lol everyone else can find out when the baby is born 😂

I am in the opposite boat but I feel the sane way. I have two little girls and so badly want a son that if it is another girl I know I will have a moment of disappointment so I would peak before and then instead of people watching my reaction I get to see all of theirs

I say yes, I already have a boy. This time around I want a girl. However for me I dont care overall. But this time I want to find out before everyone else. It's okay to know before your family. Especially when your on the edge of your seat really wanting one thing and getting another. I would want to enjoy just telling my family and letting them do something fun.
