HELP! 😬 Baby won’t take breastmilk after formula 😫

Baby is 7 weeks and we have struggled with digestive issues since we came home from the hospital. We tried EVERYTHING to relieve gas pains and eventually ended up in the hospital bc he had green diarrhea with blood in it. Up until this point he had been EBF but the hospital put him on Neocate formula to clear up his intestines while we figure out what’s going on. :(

The GI doc (without tests) and pediatrician believe it’s an allergy SO I’ve been off dairy (for years), soy, gluten and recently nuts. We’re FINALLY at a point where we can reintroduce breastmilk.. the pediatrician recommended 25% breastmilk, 75% neocate. It’s been two days of trying and he REFUSES it. He will scream and cry until he falls asleep but will take straight formula.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am at a loss and sooo upset. I’ve done so much (elimination diet, multiple lactation consultants and pediatrician visits, continual pumping to keep supply up) to try to make breastfeeding work and so want it for baby because ‘breast is best’ 😭😭 and honestly I REALLY miss the bonding that we had with BF.

Any input/advice is sooo appreciated!!
