No babyshower

I’m currently 29 weeks and 5 days. Throughout my pregnancy I’ve dealt with so much going on in my life. I know for your first born it’s expected that you have a babyshower but I just moved out of town into my own place and since our money went into moving and getting everything for our home we don’t have extra money to throw a baby shower. We are going to go buy everything we need our selves though and we have family members who want to buy big things like travel system, crib etc.

is it a bad thing because I won’t throw a shower for my son?
