Best birth control?

I have my 6 week check up on 6/4 and I need a good birth control. I was on the pill and still ended up with my 21 month old son. I tried the patch for a month and hated how it stung the last day or two. Haven’t been on anything since but my husband and I are wanting to wait til baby is 2-3 to even start trying again. I’ve thought about the implant but don’t know much about it. I will not do the arm implant after my cousin lost hers in her arm. I’d like to just be able to have the dr put it in and just forget about it. What are my options?
