Ovulation pain?

So I only had my son 8 weeks ago and we weren’t trying to conceive when I found out I was pregnant with him. I’m on birth control but I’ve been forgetting to take my pills. 🤦🏻‍♀️ however, I’m setting up reminders to remember to take it. Now I have a weird dull ache on my left side that won’t quit. It wraps around my lower abdomen and I’m not sure if this is ovulation pain or what? I got my first period postpartum may 21-24. I’m now on cycle day 8.
