What do you think of the menstrual cup

So I've always used pads and tampons but don't like how much waste it causes and I heard about the menstrual cup. For those who have used it what do y'all think of it? Pros and cons? How hard is it to insert? How do you clean/empty it in a public restroom?

Far superior to pads and tampons.
Started using a cup at 16 and I’m 24 now, will never go back.
-wear a pad or period underwear the first few times till you know how to insert properly
-most people use the classic diva cup but it may not be right for you! You may have to try different brands
-don’t give up! You need to be comfortable with your vagina in order to get the hang of making it seal properly/breaking the seal.
They’re amazing and most people that don’t like them and the ones that gave up too quickly. They’re so amazing, you can swim, sleep and be fully active in them. I forgot I’m wearing it!

Menstrual cups are wonderful. When I am in a public washroom such as at my work, I simply empty it and wipe it out with toilet paper. When at home I wash it with warm water and soap. Inserting it for your first cycle might be a little challenging but if you don't give up you will get the hang of it. Since you already have experience with tampons that gives you a head start in my opinion. They are way cleaner and I feel like I live life with peace of mind when using the cup as compared to pads/tampons.
