If that’s how you were raised but if you’ve never kissed your dad on the lips and suddenly he kisses you on your lips then I would be a little freaked

In some cultures ppl kiss nearly everyone on the lips, but it's meant in an endearing and nonsexual way, it's not a lingering or sloppy one I'd say. In my white as bleach culture ( I joke cause I'm a pale skinned redhead) that is frowned upon unless your like an infant and it's again meant in an endearing way. My dad never did, that I recall. And based off my culture and upbringing, I'd be extremely uncomfortable if it were to happen or have happened.

Everyone on my Italian side and my SO Greek side kiss on the lips but on my kiwi side no one does. I don't think we should decide if it's appropriate or not as long as the child is comfortable to do so.

Growing up we always did. I think it was just something my parents started when me and my sisters were young and it just carried over into our teens. I never thought it was weird. We dont kiss our baby on the lips though
