How do I stop EBF??

So my baby will be 7 months soon; I think, I want to stop EBF, at 9 months... how do I do this? How do I teach baby to stop breastfeeding?? How do I stop producing milk? How much formula does a 9 month old need? Will this change, from breastmilk to formula, affect my baby in any way? Does formula cause gas or constipation?? I’m clueless; ftm.. never have given baby, formula.. Trying to get informed though.. part of me just wants to go a year, so I don’t confuse him

My daughter completely refused formula when I went back to work. She was 10 months and would just not have anything until I got home to nurse. From my understanding this is pretty common, especially as they get older. I would suggest going the extra three months if you can, if not I would say pump and slowly mix in formula so baby can get adjusted to the new flavor and it won’t cause stomach issues.
