Bottle sterilizer necessary?

Are you all planning to use a bottle sterilizer? Electric or microwave? 
Due in a few days and just now thinking of this 🤦🏼‍♀️ I never thought you’d do anything other than hand wash bottles.

This is my third baby and I've never used one. Boil the bottles before first use and just make sure you wash the bottles throughly and you should be fine

I never used one. I boiled bottles before first use and hand washed them after that. I would run them through the dishwasher about once a week or more if my son was sick. I think that not sterilizing everytime exposes kids to small amounts of germs and helps with their overall healthy immune system. My son has only been sick 3 times and he is almost 2 years old. This is just my personal opinion and experience though.

Not needed. You just wash the bottles in soap and hot water and the first time you use the nipples you boil them for 5 min. Every other time, dishwasher is fine.

It’s very helpful honestly. I bought it on amazon and make sure it dries your bottles so you can use right away I breastfeed my baby but I used the sterilizer for my pump parts and bottles and it made a huge difference so every time I go to a baby shower it’s my go to gift and I always get text messages and calls thanking me after they used it a few time

I just bought one because I’m using the nanobebe bottles and the sterilizer is microwaveable. I can also use it as storage so I thought it was very convenient. I’m a ftm.

I didn't with my first did with my second I'm on my third and have one. Only thing I saw a difference with was smell (sometimes a odor lingers after washing) and just my safety of mind.
