Landlord friendly ways to secure corner shelf?

Question

Our landlord furnished our bathroom in the house we’re renting with this wicker corner shelf.

My 16 month old daughter has recently discovered climbing on things & decided today that while I was using the bathroom (just out of arms reach) that she was going to climb this shelf. She ended up tipping the entire thing over herself. 
She’s absolutely fine! Not a scratch on her but I do NOT want that happening again. I need to find a way to secure this shelf that’s effective but won’t ruin the shelf or the walls. 
Getting rid of the shelf unfortunately isn’t an option as it’s one of the only storage options in the bathroom (it’s very small).

Because the shf is out of wicker, you cant secure it correctly. Theres no way for it to sustain your daughter as she climbs on it. It will break from whatever you secure it and she will fall.
Put the when thing away somewhere and get a one row cubby. Like the one bellow.
With a cubby, you can use hinges to anchor it, or you can use straps. When your daughter climbs it, it wont break ar the anchor points like wicker would.
You have a child, your landlord knows that. So securing something via drilling holes in a wall, should be expected with a child. Also, that's why you pay a security deposit. To cover for stuff that your landlord might complain about( even though he should not).
It's small, you can secure it and your child would be safe.

We have a similar shelf, but ours is wooden. My husband put 2 small O hooks in the corner and used zip ties to secure the shelf to the wall. With wicker it may require you make a couple small holes in the shelf itself if the wicker is too tight to fit a zip tie through. I definitely recommend securing it though. My daughter is now 15 months but when she was about 9 months old she noticed it for the first time and pulled the entire shelf over on herself. She was in her walker so luckily everything, including my scentsy warmer (which was turned on) went over her. The broken picture frames and wax in the carpet was nothing compared to the heart attack I about had thinking she could've been seriously hurt.
