High Risk Birth Story 😢

Natasha

So for 4 years I was told I couldn’t have kids or if I do me an the child or one of us could end up dead. I ended up pregnant the ending on September and found out October 3rd I was so clueless but so excited most of all! Through my pregnancy I was in an out the hospital due to pain in my uterus but they always said it was nothing. Every prenatal appointment my baby girl was doing amazing! 🥰 mid April I start getting Braxton Hicks contractions which as everyone knows is normal. But by the end of April I started get light real contractions. For a month I was 1 cm dilated an no mucus plug due to it coming out. May came and I my contractions was getting a little stronger.

By May 3rd I ended up in the hospital due to a huge blood clot bigger than my hand coming out and contractions. Once I got to the hospital my contractions grew into labor contractions an the hospital said it was nothing just dehydration gave me fluids an they just slowed down that’s it and told me I’m good to go home.

May 4th came and again I had labour contractions back to the hospital an they just repeated what they did but gave me steroid shots for my baby girl just in case she does come out early.

May 5th came, the day of my baby shower, that whole day yet again strong contractions even through the night and still did what I had to do for my baby shower and I even got to go to it but in so much pain and my body started to swell bad. During my baby shower my contractions was getting stronger and got close together fast! 3 mins-2 mins apart! Rushing to the hospital I was actually suppose to give birth in instead of a hospital I was they kept me over night to monitor me. They gave me fluids to see if the contractions will go away but didn’t so they admitted me fully an kept me in the labor an delivery room!

I was only 34 weeks when all this was happening and scared out my mind also due to this being my first! My contractions was getting worst and my stomach was so sore everything was getting worst! They decided to induce my labor since they couldn’t stop the contractions. With that happening mine and the baby’s heart rate was up and down, being it was going way to high close to a heart attack and also dropping way to low, they decided to give me an epidural to calm me down and I also had to stay with a mask on in order to breath cause I couldn’t by myself.

4 hours later they decided to break my water around 1:40 or 2:00 pm. After doing that they said there was a little puss inside my water so there is deff an infection ether in my placenta or my sac. At 2:40 I started feeling the baby push down and it was hurting and had pressure and nobody thought I was telling the truth even with me said it hurts a little and I feel like i have to push. The doctor came in and as soon as he went to check me the baby’s head was already coming out and I was 10cm. I was pushing for 6 mins and at 3pm May 5th, 2019 my baby girl cane out 4 pounds 10 ounces. 18.25 inches tall 🥰.

My baby girl was in the NICU for 2 weeks. She couldn’t regulate her body temp for those 2 weeks. She had lost so much weight and it was a little hard for her to put it back on. Had a hard time breathing on her own for a day or two. Had a feeding tube in her mouth but at the end of those 2 weeks she cane home fighting! Now I have a beautiful baby girl whose 3 weeks and 5 days old and she’s still learning how to nurse and she’s doing great! She’s now 5 pounds 2.5 ounces! 🥰
