Becoming a volunteer health worker
I’m going to be a junior in Public Health next semester in college. After college I would like to take a year or two off to become a volunteer healthcare worker before I go to graduate school. I really want to go to the Congo (Africa) and help people with the virus outbreaks. Has anyone done this before? And does anyone know how to get started? I know the dangers of being there, but it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’m willing to take the risks.
