20lbs!?!?

Question

So I’ve gained a total of 20 lbs and the dr seems to not have any concerns... May 21 I weighed 165 yesterday I’m weighing 170... I’m confused because I see people talking about the preeclampsia and GD... like what is going on.. am I okay?

I have too 😐 20lbs and 23 weeks. and I was at super healthy weight before getting pregnant (119 & 5’1”) I could step on the scale and before the number popped up guess how much I weighed that day based on what I’d eaten and how I felt. I’ve not changed anything in my routine and am gaining like crazy! I feel like a balloon inflating and It’s honestly embarrassing. My arms are getting big, my face my legs & butt 🤦🏼‍♀️

Answer

Weight gain on its own isn't a problem, don't stress. Tell your doctor if you don't feel well. You can Google symptoms of preeclampsia or gd if you're worried, but I wouldn't recommend it, you might just drive yourself crazy with worrying.
