What’s better Episiotomy or natural tare ?

Wondering which has worse side effects, which can cause more damage and which has harder/longer recovery ? I’ve read the studies now I’m looking to hear directly from moms who’ve experienced it. How was ur experience? Did you have regrets afterwards? What would you recommend?

With my first I had an episiotomy. It hurt a lot. I had many stitches. 
With my second dr just let me tear. It was worse for me because I ripped upwards in to my clitoris. I had three stitches on and around it.
Healing ti.e was easier for the episiotomy for me. Peeing with stitches in my clitoris was one of the worst feelings I've ever felt.. and I have a high pain tolerance. I nearly cried or even screamed a few times when peeing after that tear.

My first I had an episiotomy, 3rd degree laceration. Heading was freaking miserable. Hurt when I went to the bathroom, hurt to sit, hurt to walk for weeks. 
My second I tore naturally, upward, and healing was 10000000x better for me. Barely uncomfortable at all

I had an episiotomy as I needed forceps due to the doctors finding out after 2 hours of pushing my baby was back to back 🙄
I have found the healing process totally fine. I showered every day and used the shower head to swoosh some water around the area. The pain from sitting went within a week or so and I have a very small scar now!
It is different for everyone, don’t be scared!!

I had an episiotomy because my babies heart rate dropped when his head was already there.  
Anyway, i was extremely worried about stitches down there- but it’s been 10 days and my stitches only hurt when i accidentally rub them with a wipe trying to get dried blood off my vagina lol.  They’re already healing and i thought it would be a lot more painful- it’s just more annoying to be honest- having to wear pads and wipe blood 24/7 lol.
