Sometimes this is what breastfeeding looks like...
I successfully nursed five children into toddlerhood but my new little guy (11 weeks) has been such a struggle... much more than thrush, mastitis, latch issues, etc that I dealt with when nursing my others. He has a tongue and lip tie (that we are hopefully getting repaired this week) that have made it difficult for him to transfer milk... some sessions, he’ll nurse for 15 minutes on each side and only transfer a quarter of an ounce, or absolutely nothing! I’ve been pumping and bottle feeding and at times, supplementing, and this has been such a challenge for me because I love nursing my babies. I am doing all I can to make sure I get my little guy back to breast but I’m thankful he’s still getting mama’s milk!
