Summer break ideas.

This is the last week of school before summer break starts and I'm starting to think about what fun things I could plan for us to do. I am a little stuck on ideas though.. So I was wondering what sort of things you do with the kids or your partner during the summer?

Do you go on a vacation? Just do normal everyday things? Go camping? What do you do that's cheap / free?

A little about us if that helps: My partner works at a school and he will get half of the summer off. It will be like 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off the whole time basically. My son (9) will be going to his dad's house every other weekend + some extra. My partners 2 sons (11 & 6) will be coming over the opposite weekends + some extra. That means lots of me time with the kids, family time with everybody & some alone time with just my partner and I. A good mix of everybody but that's where it gets hard to plan / think of ideas because somebody is always coming or going.
