Yeast Infection or std?

I’ve been having an itchy feeling and cottage cheese discharge yesterday. It went away so my bf and I decided to have sex (with condom) and I woke up with symptoms worsened..(itch, discomfort, and yellow thick discharge).. the yellow discharge is throwing me off.. is that Normal for a yeast infection? He’s being tested soon.. we’re fairly new in the relationship. We just got caught up in the moment and decided not to use a condom.
