Eventful Week
Turned 12 weeks Friday. Which is huge since it’s a rainbow baby and with the last baby I officially miscarried at 11w4d (though baby was probably gone at least a week earlier since that was when I started spotting). Yesterday was the first anniversary of the lost baby’s due date, so extra cool to be in the “safe” zone this weeks. Had apt on Monday, but they had to poke around a fair bit to get the heartrate, they got it finally though and it was 159. Also had an early glucogen test, and was on the very higher end of normal, so very much expect to be diabetic when they retest at 28 weeks. Trying to watch carbs and do light exercise in the meantime to help do the little I can to decrease my odds and ease the transition if I will be. Also took blood to try for the screening test that also tells you the gender early and found out today that we qualify for full financial assistance on it, so will know in two weeks if it’s a girl or boy. Yesterday I had a trans abdominal ultrasound so ladies at a local pregnancy center could train on using their new machine. Since it’s still early for the trans abdominal didn’t see much but got another 149 hear rate reading and some them move more than we have before. Then today I had my second significant bleed this pregnancy. Less concerning this time since last time (week 8) I had an ultrasound tell me it was from a small subchorionic hemorrhage. Just like last time it seems short lived though and I’m already down to just spotting. But crazy week for sure.
