Job or no job?

Question

Is getting a job the last 2 months of my pregnancy ethical or am I pushing myself too hard?
I just wanna know if there’s any ladies out there who worked the entire 9 months if at least some. 
I ain’t got no financial support & I want my baby shower to be decent
The cons are that it is hot as ever and I take public transportation, and still have a little 10 min walk to get to the place. 
I also suffer from shortness of breath terribly so I’m worried I won’t be an efficient worker but I’m really starving for any type of money, I tell you, even if that means having to master this breathing issue which was my main pregnancy side effect.

I worked until the day I delivered, but it wasn't an on the feet job. But to be perfectly honest, I highly doubt you'll get hired so close to your due date (most job trainings take 2-6 weeks) and I definitely wouldn't be doing this mostly to pay for a shower.

I just got hired for a new job and I am 31 weeks pregnant. It is very doable, and totally acceptable! Do what is best for you and what you feel is right!

I did it with my oldest for the same reason. It was December so I worked retail at Macy’s for the holidays. I will say. It might be difficult to find something now since college students are home now.

Be mindful of your health, but I completely understand the financial stress issue. With my first, I worked up until the week of my due date. By then I didn’t care anymore about money I just wanted to have baby out, I was so exhausted and uncomfortable. I plan to work one of my two jobs up until my due date again this time (the other is seasonal and the season will be over in a few weeks). It may be difficult to find a job willing to hire at this point in your pregnancy but it doesn’t hurt anything to try. Technically, it’s illegal to discriminate against you based on your pregnancy. But above all, take care of yourself health wise.

I’m working until July 25 as a dental hygienist. Due date August 14. I teach dental hygiene too which I will stay there until my due date unless he comes earlier

My plan is to work right up until I deliver. I dont get paid maternity leave so I want to be financially prepared to not get paid for the month or two I wont be working.

I worked as a CNA up until 3 days before I had my son and I plan on doing the same with this baby. I think it helped so much with an easy labor!

I would just double check with your doctor. I was going to work my last 2 months also but when I told my doctor she examined me and found out I shouldn't even be on my feet a lot so she said she wouldn't. Not saying the same will happen to you but better safe than sorry if you are having shortness of breathing.

I’m working until the week I’m due, so it’s absolutely doable.  
However like another post said, it’s unlikely to be hired into a new company so far into your pregnancy. On top of not having transportation (other than public) and medical restrictions. 
I would just wait until after the baby comes and look for a job then. There will be a ton of places hiring due to college students heading back to school.

I’m a nurse and I’m working up until I give birth. I want to make sure all 12 weeks that I get off are when the baby is already here.
