STD testing before we have sex

I’ve only been with one guy, we dated from age 16-20, we broke up awhile ago and I met this guy at my work and he kinda getting serious and I want him to get tested before we do have sex... how do I go about this? Also I will get tested too just so it’s not just him even tho i got tested since I’ve broken up with my ex, I don’t want to be like yeah you get tested but I’m not. You know? And how can I know of his results I just don’t want his word.
