Should Grandparents treat you different?

My Grandparents on my father's side have always cared less if not at all for me. They would have pictures all over the house of their other grandkids except me. My father confronted my grandma about it and she bluntly said, his kids were made from his wife (outside family) and these grandchildren were made from her own daughters belly. This mentality just is crazy!!
Do you think, you would treat children differently because of this reason? 
Has anyone ever heard of this?

Your grandma is crazy and you shouldn't let her make you feel like you're worth less, let her be mental and keep yourself away from the negativity, you deserve better

If one set of grandkids lives down the street and one set lives across the country, it's understandable if the grandparents do more stuff with the kids they see all the time.
But, it's just bizarre to favor grandkids because they came from your daughters rather than your sons.

No, that’s a very weird reason. I think it’s evident that grandparents may connect with some grandchildren more than others, but they shouldn’t make it so blatantly obvious. It can really hurt a child. I know my one cousin is the light of my grandmother’s life. I felt like my whole life I was just being compared to her constantly and it created an unhealthy mindset for me. And to flat out admit it is weird. I can understand though that a grandmother may be more involved with the pregnancy if it’s her daughter who is pregnant. That can start the connection early on. But she should do her best to create a healthy relationship with her daughter in laws because that’s probably a large reason as to why they aren’t as involved.

No. That’s super weird. 
I did have a step grandmother growing up that treated me differently than her blood grand children, but still expected I treat her like a regular grandparent. That was some bullshit. I don’t care at all as an adult, but it was difficult to understand as a child.
