Baby in pool?

At what age is it okay to take a baby at pool I have a pool at my apartment complex and I’ve been wanting to take her in and she’s about to turn 5 months.

I was a life guard a decade ago and I’d see 1 month olds in the pool, but as a mom I don’t think I was ready to expose the chemicals it until about 6 months old, but here we are at a year and still haven’t made it to a pool.

My baby just turned six months and I took him in a pool for the first time about a week before he was six months. I would have considered it earlier but this was when the weather cooperated for us. He loves it so much!

I know multiple people that started as early as 1.5-2 months!

My baby was 8 months when summer started last year but I don’t think I’d hesitate to take them into a pool as early as a month or two. Swimming is a huge part of my life.
