Spermicide

I want an IUD but I've never been to an obgyn or anything and I've had some traumatic experiences in life and I'm pretty sure I'd freak out or cry so that may not be an option..

I was on the pill for a while (can't afford it anymore) but when I get birth control again I don't want to use condoms forever.

I also don't don't Don't want kids!

But I've not heard a lot or enough about spermicide and was wondering if with the pill or something would it be effective enough to use in place of a condom?

Is it worth buying? How expensive is it? Are there certain kinds I should look for? 🤔

Also is it as safe as Only using a condom or noooo lol
