birth control?

i’m fifteen and sexually active. i’m trying to get on birth control, something without hormones because i’m on depression/anxiety meds and the extra hormones mess them up. i was on the pill around 6 months ago but it messed with my meds so i had to stop. i’m just wondering what birth control y’all think would be reasonable? sorry if that sounds dumb i just need advice

If u don’t want any hormones at all, then the copper/non hormonal IUD or barrier methods are ur only options. Barrier methods include male/female condoms, a diaphragm/cervical cap, cervical sponges, and spermicides. Out of all those, the IUD is more effective at preventing pregnancy. But, of course condoms are the only thing that also helps prevent STDs. If ur willing to try other things, then the Nexplanon arm implant or a hormonal IUD are good options to try. I have Nexplanon & also deal with depression & it hasn’t affected it at all. But, everyone’s body reacts differently. U would just have to try it & see.
