SHE’S HERE!

Born at 3:19pm on June 11th by induction at exactly 39 weeks due to advanced dilation. She’s 6lbs 5oz and 20in long. My labor was AMAZING. I was put on pitocin for a couple hours and then my doctor came in and broke my water and IT WAS ON. My first labor experience being so good made up for how awful my first pregnancy experience was. I was put on bed rest for 4 months due to an incompetent cervix at 20 weeks, developed mastitis in pregnancy, carried extremely low so the last week my body just couldn’t handle it anymore.

My doctor offered to induced me since I was progressing naturally on my own and was having prodromal labor and kept having periods of contractions but couldn’t get them to stay and be consistent so my body would kick into full on labor. I went in to be induced at 7:30am, when I arrived at the hospital I was already 5cm dilated and fully effaced. Active labor lasted 5hrs (30 minutes of pushing) I have a first degree lateral tear but other than that I feel pretty good for just giving birth.
