How to increase your supply.

Okay ladies I feel like we need to put some notes down to help some ladies out.. I see so many post about trying to boost supply. So, here are mine, add yours in the comments to help other moms out!

1) health food store supplements;

Moringa

Fenugreek

Blessed thistle

Like 1500mg 3x/day... it’s helped a lot

2) drink lots of water and eat well

3) lactating cookies & oatmeal (lots

Of oatmeal)

4) mothers tea

5) you can get a prescription for Domperidone which boosts your prolactin

6) pump AFTER you feed baby (at least 15mins even if you get nothing) it tricks your body into making more.

7) pump 1hr after feeding a baby if they consistently go 3-4 hours between feeding. It’s sneaks in a little extra and doesn’t take from baby.

8) if you supplement - pump! At least once to replace the time baby isn’t at your breast.

9) lots of rest, skin to skin contact. Honestly, take baby to bed with you for 24-48 hours if you can, nurse every time they look at you, offer the breast constantly! And keep baby and your self as naked at possible and touching if you can, smell baby - I promise this helps.

10) yes, dark beer helps. Guinness is my go-to. And no you aren’t going to break your baby for drinking a beer or two and then feeding. If you aren’t buzzed baby is good to snack.... just don’t go drinking the case in a day.
