Breastfeeding while pregnant?

I think I’m pregnant, will be finding out this weekend. My breasts have been ridiculously sore, more and more each day. My daughter is 2 and showing no sign of stopping nursing any time soon. Does anyone have any experience with this? Some say it isn’t safe for the baby, but tandem nursing is a real thing so I’m just curious

Its perfectly safe to breastfeed while pregnant. I got pregnant at 9 months pp while still EBF, my daughter weaned herself at 14 months (I was just over 20 weeks pregnant) due to my milk converting to colostrum.

I made it four months in to my second pregnancy before I just had to wean the first kid (it was her fourth birthday present, lol). I wish I would have stopped sooner - every single time was agony. If you want to continue, just make sure you’re getting extra calories and hydration. If you want to stop, do it! She’s old enough that you might want to give her a week’s warning, and count down together, but she’ll be fine.

Of course it’s fine - women did it for hundreds of millions of years before formula, if not no one would’ve ever been able to raise more than one child
