2 doctors?

Is it okay to schedule woth 2 different OBs to figure out which one you prefer? I currently have appountments at 2 places. Partially hecause i wanted an ultra sound before 12 weeks and the other place will do it at 8. This is also #1 for me and Im probably super parinoid.

If you're scheduling at 2 different practices your insurance likely won't cover them both. I've seen like 6 or 7 different doctors throughout my pregnancy but that's because they're all at the same clinic and where I go they recommend doing it that way since you never know who will be there when you give birth

I live in Cleveland and there is a place that offers free ultrasounds ... its faith based basically to convince you not to have an abortion.  I went just to get an early ultrasound because I had a previous miscarriage and needed to see a heartbeat.  Not sure if the place will still be around since abortion laws have changed.  Maybe you can find a place like that in your area.

Insurance usually won’t pay for as many visits as you want to go to. There’s a set schedule unless there’s a need for additional appointments, including ultrasounds. Be prepared to pay out of pocket for one appointment.

Personally my insurance will only cover one gyno. You could switch to the other gyno if you're more comfortable there. You may be able to do an 'office tour' before you decide which one.

I agree with the other poster to just pay for a private scan.  My private scan cost $80, my one through the dr was billed to my insurance for $513, I owe like $150 of it.  It’s okay to make sure you’re choosing the correct doctor of course though!

It’s probably cheaper just to go to an elective ultrasound place and pay for an early ultrasound . That’s what I did for my own piece of mind
