What to expect from c section second time ?

With my first it was an emergency c section so this time it will be scheduled. I’m wondering what to expect- what did you have to do before c section for preparing? Did you not eat? Can you give me a run down of what to expect? Please thanks

I just had my second scheduled c section. No eating or drinking anything 8-10 hours prior to surgery. They usually have you go in 2 hours early to prep (IV, blood work, etc.) and then the anesthesiologist comes and has a chat with you ... and then it’s surgery time.

Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. Pre-shave if that’s what you do. I was told to wait but they barely did anything and I was left for a couple of weeks with a hedge 😳. That morning we were supposed to call to make sure they still had room. Showed up at 530 for a 7am surgery and ended up delivering at 0934 (had to wait for our doctor to get there 😒). Overall recovery was about the same as the first but I was a lot more sore this time. Good luck!

no food or drink from midnight. while waiting in your room they put ted stockings on you and a gown name band etc. sometimes the cathether. when its time you goto theatre cannula put in then spinal.

Mine wasn’t a second one but it was scheduled. No food or water for 8 hours prior. I was also given a pre surgery soap to use the night before, and then you just do all the Oreo stuff IV etc getting all settled lot of fluids and what not
