Late 3rd Trimester GD diagnosis?

Megan

Hi Ladies! I had my 1 hour glucose test that I passed already weeks ago! It was in the morning and I had watched my diet tremendously because I was so nervous of failing! Since then I have been having my regular appointments as normal.

Today at my appointment (36+2), one of the Doctors in my group practice told me I had a high level of glucose in my urine and actually had for my last several appointments. She asked if any other doctors mentioned it to me and I let her know that I had no clue. She seemed annoyed that no one had followed up with this for me.

She had them do a spontaneous blood draw to test my levels. If my glucose levels are elevated she said they will treat me as if I have GD. Has anyone been diagnosed with GD even after passing the 1 hour with no needed follow up?

I know it’s a super common diagnosis...so I’m not worried about that...just frustrated that I may not have been monitoring myself as closely as I should have! I like to be prepared and have the facts...so this is throwing me off a bit.
